KB Securities Vietnam (KBSV) recently had a volunteer trip to support the extremely difficult situations being treated at the National Children's Hospital.

The Board of Directors and the KBSV staff had a charitable visit to the Vietnam National Children's Hospital on February 23, 2023 to support underprivileged children receiving medical care there. KBSV provided 100 hot meals and 17 financial support gifts in an effort to lessen the burden on the kids and their families.

To support the child warriors in their fight against disease, KBSV has provided financial support to 17 cases of critical illness with extremely difficult circumstances at the Hospital. Additionally, as part of the program, KBSV visited the hospital's Oncology Department with the help of the BOD. The KBSV Board of Directors and staff members visited, encouraged, and provided 100 meals to the kids and their families here.

The representative of the hospital presented a thank you letter to Mr. Jeon Mun Cheol - Acting CEO of KB Securities Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Directly participating in the volunteer trip at the Vietnam National Children's Hospital, Mr. Jeon Mun Cheol - Acting CEO of KBSV shared: “Children are our future. We believe that creating an environment where children can grow up healthy and happy is the most important duty of our society. Unfortunately, many kids don't have that fair chance. All children have the right to grow up healthy and live happily. I believe that we should guarantee such rights to children and must provide equal opportunities to all children. Our small contribution to Vietnam National Children's Hospital today is just the beginning. We will practice more efforts and actions so that children can grow up healthy and happy for a healthy future in Vietnam.”

In a welcoming environment that was brimming with the spirit of caring and sharing, Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, on behalf of the Social Affairs Department and the Hospital's Board of Directors, expressed her sincere gratitude to the KBSV for their assistance with the lovely gifts given to the kids, helping to lessen their suffering and that of their families.

The mother and 18-month-old daughter MC, who traveled with her from Bac Ninh to Hanoi for treatment, were also deeply moved and could not conceal the joy on their faces when they felt the love that was always present. Given that her mother has poor vision and cannot see clearly, MC's situation is very difficult. MC again had a congenital heart disease and had to be treated for pneumonia, making an 18-month-old child struggle every day. His parents' already precarious life was made even worse when they had to give up everything to help their son battle the illness, nearly bringing their family to an impasse. However, throughout the conversation, her mother remained upbeat, encouraging the kids at the Vietnam National Children's Hospital as well as those in challenging situations to be strong, happy, and optimistic to work with their parents to ward off the illnesses. Fight valiantly; goodhearted supporters will stand by us; all difficulties will end, and peace will reign.

The patient's mother, Ms. T, who was in attendance, spoke at the event and said, "My son had to be hospitalized for treatment at the Vietnam National Children's Hospital because he was diagnosed with blood cancer and we needed to determine long-term treatment. The situation that my family is in is very challenging. When I heard the diagnosis, I almost gave up hope. Today, I still feel extremely lucky to be able to participate in this program and receive this support, and I can't give up. I want to express my gratitude to the kind donors. It feels wonderful to be able to share some of the burdens with other fathers and mothers, like us.
