Ms. Nguyen Pham Gia Linh - a 2nd-year student at VNU University of Science is one of 40 excellent students receiving scholarships this term. She said that she came from a farming family whose income was insufficient to support her education and the education of her three siblings. Linh once thought about working part-time to pay for tuition and living costs, but she was unable to do so due to a demanding course load.

"This scholarship means a lot to me, not only to cover tuition fees but also to help me maintain the rent and send money back to my hometown to help my parents raise my siblings," Linh shared.

Pham Thi Nhu Y, a second-year student at Vietnam National University's Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences who also got this scholarship, felt fortunate to have received help from both the school and KBSV. Her father passed away after a workplace accident, leaving her mother, who worked in the fields and the brick factory, as her family's sole source of income. Nhu Y was both relieved and anxious the day she received the admission notification. She quickly realized that to assist her mother, she would need to find a part-time job.

The scholarship is most likely the biggest present I can give my mother at this time. For me, this serves as inspiration as I continue on my journey, Nhu Y said.
